Meet the Artist - Melissa Misoda

Melissa runs Misoda Glass Studio with her husband, Andy, in West Seattle. During her days she teaches glassblowing at Sammamish High School in Bellevue, Wa. She absolutely loves that she is able to pass this amazing art form onto younger generations! “It is so important to give kids skill based art options, especially for those who do not feel like they are ‘good at art’. It helps build self confidence, teamworking and communication skills, and critical problem solving!”
Melissa received her BFA from Tyler School of Art in Philadelphia, and her MFA from Alfred University in New York. She has shown her work in galleries and museums across the nation, and has been published in several publications. Please see her resume for more in depth information!
