CAPERS is excited to present Seattle’s own Joanna Morgan Designs at a special trunk show Dec 9-10, with a selection of her collection available through Dec 14. From edgy designs that break the rules to timeless pieces, Joanna Morgan Designs withstand the test of time. The Trunk Show will be hosted by CAPERS jewelry buyer, Jamesetta Bunn.
Following a career in banking, Joanna decided to pursue her dream and launched her initial jewelry collection in 2010. Reared in Poland and influenced by eclectic family interests, the Seattle Weekly 2014 Best Jewelry Designer has always been fascinated by art and design. While attuned to fashion and what’s current, she offers versatile and stylish accessories for everyday wear within a modern wardrobe that will withstand the test of time.
Committed to local production, sustainability and use of recycled metals, her jewelry is created right here in Seattle with a studio and showroom located in historic Pioneer Square. All her items are created in small quantities and finished by hand with careful attention to detail.
“I try to make jewelry that is not only pleasing to the eye, but has a certain personality. I like hearing, ‘I immediately recognized this is your work when I saw it’ and ‘I’ve never seen anything like it before,’ said the 2013 Best Accessory Designer tied award winner of the Seamless in Seattle competition by Seattle Magazine. “It means that I succeeded in making something that is unique and has my specific print on it.”
A jewelry designer, passionate about creativity, beauty, and objects with personality, the Women’s Jewelry Association member describes the general vibe of her designs as edgy-feminine, but caters to men as well. “It’s for those who do not like to follow the rules to the letter and who want to stay curious and even intrigued.”
